Federico Melzi
About me
Federico Melzi, architect, was born in Busto Arsizio in 1987 and trained in Ticino at the Università della Svizzera italiana in Mendrisio, where he graduated in architecture in 2012.
He studied closely with some of Europe’s finest architects, including Aires Mateus, Peter Zumthor and Mario Botta, with whom he worked for a year as an architect and later as a model maker.
What I do
Pragmatic by nature, he has applied this quality beyond architecture too, exploring materials in fields as diverse as design and mechanics. He has collaborated on many projects, both in architectural design and in the making of high-quality models.
An expert in professional design, he looks after the whole production process, from the first idea to the finished piece, drawing on years of experience with CAD and CAM software.
